Trump supporters try to doxx jurors and post violent threats after his conviction
The 34 felony guilty verdicts returned Thursday against Donald Trump spurred a wave of violent rhetoric aimed at the prosecutors who secured his conviction, the judge who oversaw the case and the ordinary jurors who unanimously agreed there was no reasonable doubt that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee falsified business records related to hush money payments to a porn star to benefit his 2016 campaign.
Republicans Join Trump’s Attacks on Justice System
Embracing Donald Trump’s strategy of blaming the U.S. justice system after his historic guilty verdict, Republicans in Congress are fervently enlisting themselves in his campaign of vengeance and political retribution in the GOP bid to reclaim the White House.
Almost no Republican official has stood up to suggest Trump should not be the party’s presidential candidate for the November election — in fact, some have sought to hasten his nomination. Few others dared to defend the legitimacy of the New York state court that heard the hush money case against the former president, or the 12 jurors who unanimously rendered their verdict.
In fact, any Republicans who expressed doubts about Trump’s innocence or political viability, including his former hawkish national security adviser John Bolton or top-tier Senate candidate Larry Hogan, were instantly bullied by the former president’s enforcers and told to ‘leave the party.’

Huh. I thought Republicans cast themselves as the party of law and order. Did they drop that plank from their platform?
Trump Tells Oil Donors He’ll Fast Track Their Merger Deals
Donald Trump suggested to oil executive donors this month that he could ease the Federal Trade Commission’s scrutiny of their industry’s mergers and acquisitions if he returns to the White House.
Trump’s remarks, which have not previously been reported, indicated that he may try to influence the FTC, an independent agency, on behalf of his supporters.

Trump Will Likely Be Allowed to Vote
If the former president had been convicted in Republican-dominated Florida or most other states, he would not be allowed to vote this fall as he seeks to unseat President Biden. But Trump was convicted in New York, a Democrat-run state where felon voting laws are more lenient, and that makes all the difference for his ability to keep his right to vote.”
Under Florida law, residents convicted of crimes in other states lose their ability to vote in Florida only if they are barred from voting in the state where they committed their offenses… In New York, where Trump was convicted, felons are barred from voting only while they are incarcerated.
Voting Is Not a Fundamental Right in Kansas
The Kansas Supreme Court has ruled that voting is not a fundamental right protected by the Kansas Constitution.
The decision on voting rights Friday is likely to weaken legal challenges to future voting restrictions in Kansas.
