I see some talk about Hive inflation being too high, what's your take on those thoughts?

Sort:  

There is a schedule built into the chain that automatically lowers the inflation with half a percent per year or so. Not entirely sure on the exact time frame.

According to perplexity:
The inflation rate on the Hive blockchain decreases by approximately 0.5% per year. This reduction occurs by decreasing the rate by 0.01% every 250,000 blocks[1][2][3].

Personally I think it's just about right. Without inflation there would be no blogging side.
