Your post really hits home on how important parents are in our lives, i like how it describes them as our biggest support system and a shield against difficulties, it's true that losing parents can bring a lot of challenges and a feeling of helplessness that might take a lot of time to heal for most, my father died years ago and my mother is 67 and sometimes I wonder how life for me and my sister will be when she is gone, we are over 35 by now but still there is going to be that void for some time
