Self voting is a problem when the user gets the author and curation rewards. In this case the author rewards are burned automatically.
As for curation rewards, I explained this a lot but I know you are dense, I get the same curation rewards as everyone else regardless of what I vote. In this case I am burning thousands of dollars a month reducing inflation. This is completely selfless and I don’t benefit at all from it outside of the reduced inflation we all benefit from.
