Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope they were able to get together and see their family and loved ones and that they made the nice list this year. I'm pretty sure I flirted with the naughty list and was lucky enough to still get a few gifts this year. Thanks for everyone in the SGS community for making sure great and I hope to see you all and hopefully some new faces as well as maybe some of those old faces get back in and active online.
Collection Highlights -
I don't have too many Christmas pieces. I have a few that might have a winter scene or sleigh ride on it, but I don't believe they're specifically for christmas. I know it's a shame and I'm pretty sure @dfinney has a large Christmas silver collection. I have no idea where this round came from, but either bought it after talking to dfinney, or got it as a gift. I no longer have good notes about where pieces of silver came from, and the gifts and raffle prices have all been muddied together.
Obverse
I love this image. The little girl decorating the tree with the presents underneath and needed my step stool is just perfect in my mind. My niece today was pretty much the spitting image of this and was just super excited to open presents and nothing could dampen her mood today. It was nothing but pure joy emanating from her all day
This is a great wholesome image and I love the detail. The only way to make it better would be to add a mint mark!
Reverse
It's a cool image of a Christmas ornament, but not much else. It does have the year which makes me think maybe they went to multiples of these with the same reverse and just different years while they change the obverse image. I found a few googling that looks like they had different fronts from ear to ear but they kept the backs the same design with the changing ear. No idea who meant that these, but that's okay because it's just a nice looking round
