I never knew or even noticed this before, what a strange habit, but then we don't live a thousand years in the past. The idea that the mixture acts as a sealant is very good, I wonder if there are any modern day natural treatments that are white or transparent, I bet that would be a hit. Dental treatment is getting so expensive nowadays. Yesterday I went to get my teeth cleaned, there's a 7% increase since 6 months ago!!!
