How many good people are here on the Hive blockchain? By what do you measure your good?

On the measure scale of good and not good. I have no clue where I would stand myself. When a balance is found, I hope to be leaning toward heavy on the good side of the scales.

Good men, not sure I ever met one.

Perhaps I hold the title of good on too high a pedestal. So a look at what people use the word "Good" for.

a. that which is morally right; righteousness.
"a mysterious balance of good and evil"
b. benefit or advantage to someone or something.

The context in which I use the word would be along the ones of morality. Even though this is a dayum GOOD post.

Something that is not good. Does not automatically inherit the traits of opposing bad evil or whatever word you might choose to represent opposing good.

The biggest problem with good. Is everyone wants the other person to hold more good than they hold themselves. Which is the polar opposite of good. Doing what is good for oneself is needed and a natural thing. It is not a good deed though. It is for survival and yes your survival is important.

Good things are key things to your survival. If you don't agree with that. Try living where every single things goes wrong. Before you say you do. You would not have made it this far, if it was so.

Good things can happen to you. That does not make you good. Good things happening in the context of morality. They are the good you do. Not the good you get.

So asking Mr Fictitious. Are you good for Hive. Yes was the reply. I wrote the code for the thingamagig that makes the yoke do the thing. That was good for the blockchain and made it more ye know.

And did ye get paid HBD for that?
Not really, The development of the code was supported by the DHF, but I wrote all the code and stuff over a period of 6 months. Others might have been able to do it in less like say 3 months. But I am wokey and entitled to those funds from the DHF.

So ye got paid for the task. It was done for yourself under the guise of good. Anything done and paid for. should never be claimed as done for the chain. If you code for the chain. You do not need paying.

The high horse of good, is nothing more than a hologram.

Presently we have calm seas and oceans here at Hive. That or I am missing where all of the drama is. Having to create my own is boring. Still small fish complain when the whale surfaces. They are blocking the sunlight. Even the feckin fish have gone woke.

The begrudgery and wanting from tier to tier is obvious. All reaching for what they do not have. All forgetting what they do have. All claiming to be good. While I flounder to see the good.

Hive has been good to many. Even I have gained some Hive goodness. Hope to gain some more too. In taking all of this good I can get from the chain. Do I owe anything back to the chain? To any of those on the chain who voted or supported me in any way?

I have done things that have grown the account values. I have grinded at different things at different times to grow the HP. I have put earnings from different endeavours to HP. None of this makes me a good person. Just that the intent for the growth I believe is good. It is only with obligation to others, in success I am not the tyrant. Good intentions do not assure good outcomes. The 0.00001% knocks everything off balance.

There is no moral good in building a bridge. If you do not facilitate maintenance of the bridge. The same with Hive.

What good is Hive doing?
What good could Hive do?
How can Hive be applied that it will have a positive impact for the life of the average person?
Is ignoring the good Hive could do, just doing nothing?
