Chases, Waves and Splashes

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon as a black Mercedes car pulled into the driveway. The family of four jumped out: Philip, Deborah, and their two kids, Valentine and Gabriella, who were 9 and 6 years old, respectively. They were dressed in casuals, their faces glittering with smiles. Philip walked to the back of the car, opened the boot, and pulled out their little baggage for their family fun time at the beach. They walked hand in hand towards the entrance as Deborah purchased four tickets.

The name RoyaltieS Beach was boldly written on top of the gates. As they stepped inside, Gabriella (Gaby for short) couldn't stop wowing as her eyes widened and mouth opened. The sight was utterly AMAZING! The more she scanned the environment, the more her excitement grew.

"Close your lips or you will have this in between them," said Valentine, pointing his index finger at her, having stared at her for some seconds. Gaby closed her mouth instantly and glared at him. "I dare you," she snapped.

Val smiled at her before holding her hand as they quickened their pace and their parents followed closely behind them. As they walked, swinging their interlocked hands, they took in the beauty of the arena and realized that it was split into four paths. Both sides of each path were lined up with tall coconut trees, which looked so beautiful that one would mistake them for artificial trees, even though they were not.The path on the left had a sign board that read, Games and Playground. On the right was Bar and Swimming Pool. Behind them led to the RoyaltieS hotel and suite, and straight ahead, lay the sea.

The kids seemed to have noticed it at the same time as they squealed and ran towards it. They got there soon enough and watched in awe as they beheld the sight in front of them: the waves, people running around and dancing like they had no care in the world, families seated round tables having some refreshments, not to forget the loud music that could be heard blasting all over the beach.

"It's much better to experience than just looking at it," said their dad as he approached them. That was all they needed as they quickly unbuckled their sandals and made their way towards the sea. The coolness Gaby felt as she walked through the sand and then, stepping into the water, made her giggle softly. The fun started as they started chasing each other around carefully, avoiding bumping into other people. They splashed water on each other, laughing heartily. Whenever the waves came close, Val would grab his sister's hand, and they would make a run for it.

Deborah and Philip set up a mini tent and sat down cuddling as they watched their kids playing happily. The months earlier had been hectic, with the couple occupied with their various jobs as well as the kids, who were also busy with their academics. The summer proved to be the perfect time for the family to bond together and have a family fun time.

The kids soon came running to the tent, a bit exhausted from running around. Deborah brought out the refreshments as Philip brought a bottle of water and helped them to watch their hands. They enjoyed the snacks, and the kids ran back to the sea, fully energized. Soon enough, the couple joined them, smiles plastered on their faces. In between the fun, Deborah thought to herself, "This is a moment worth capturing as a memory," as she brought out her phone and took pictures of them all making silly poses.

They spent the rest of the day watching the waves and the beauty of the environment before heading back home.

This is the first time I’m reading your fiction. I loved it especially where the kids came back and Philip helped him them to wash their hands whiles Debbie brought out the drinks. Felt like something that used to happen in my childhood.🥰

Hahaha, dreemport is trying to bring out the fiction in me, lolz
It wasn't easy crafting a fictional story. Yea...those childhood fun activities 😊
