Friends, today I saw something on the internet that made me write this blog. A few months back, I wrote a blog on social media and how it is killing the future as well as the childhood of the current generation.
What I saw today really broke my heart and shocked me, because it was exactly what I talked about a few months back, and now I have seen it happening in reality.
There was a boy who studies in school, and he was trying to create some content. The theme of his video was that he wanted to leave school and start doing content creation so that he could stay away from studies.
He did not want to study anymore. Now the question is, why did this thought even come into his mind, to leave education and start content creation? Content creation is not a bad thing, but giving up on education is not a good idea either.
I think everyone should pursue education till a certain age so that they do not face difficulties in life related to many things.
But because people are being told that they can make quick money using social media, they are leaving everything behind, including their education.
Friends, if you think that education is not important and earning money is the only important thing, then I want to correct you. Even a gambler earns money, but he is not respected more than a teacher who earns less.
Respect is something that comes with education and knowledge, not with money. The sad reality is that we often respect people who have a lot of money, and we judge people based on money and status.
But this is not right. Education and knowledge should be the prime factors, after age and experience, that count.
So that is what I wanted to share. Keep your children away from social media so that they do not end up getting trapped in a dilemma where they think they do not need to study and can simply start doing content creation or something on social media because it is a quick way of earning money.
