MY LIFE CHANGING HABIT

in Indiaunited6 days ago

Change, like they all say, is constant. It is one thing that we cannot avoid in life. This change however can come as a result of many factors including, habits, life circumstances, pain, loss, promotion, and so on. A lot of things can cause people to change. And the dangerous of them all would be habits. A man's habits can cause a man to change either for good or bad. Habits determine to a large extent who we are and the things we value. It is a consistent activity or a pattern of activity we find ourselves always involved in, consciously and unconsciously.

I have inculcated so many habits over time that have caused me to change both for the good and bad. Note that, it is easy to learn bad habits, and it is even more difficult to come out of bad habits. However, the reverse is the case for a good habit. It is hard to learn a good habit but when it becomes part of you, the results are life changing.

One life changing habit I have learnt over time and has now become an important part of my personality would be exercising. It is not only a habit, but a hobby and a passion. Exercising is one habit I can never get tired of. Its benefits have helped me a great deal.

You all know the benefits of exercising, but what many people do not know is that exercising is also linked to improving one's mood and boosting one's energy level. Every morning, when I wake up, I go for a run, and do some simple cardio exercises before I start my day. And trust me when I say the pay off is good. I find myself in a better mood throughout that day and with more energy than before. Also exercises relieves pain. Well personally, it reduces some body pains I have. Studies have also shown, that exercise improves brain health and memory.

The benefits of exercising are so much to mention but you all already know that. I'm here to talk about the habit of exercising.

Exercising as a habit can be quite tiring and challenging at first, but once you get past the first stages of it, your body quickly adapts to it. Sometimes, it will even remind you that you need to exercise when the usual time you exercise reaches and you don't.

This habit is something that has given me an enormous amount of self confidence in myself, physique and body structure. Not only does it keep me in a great mood throughout the day, but it also keeps me energized and fired up for the activities the day presents. Everyday I exercise, I feel the most healthy and strong. Plus it can also be addictive, once you start and you begin to see results, it becomes addictive. You want to keep on doing it to maintain that nice body you've achieved.

The saying health is wealth is indeed true when you no longer feel sick or spend your life-savings on drugs and illness without a cure. What better way is there to avoid chronic illnesses and disease than to exercise. It is that one little habit you can do at the comfort of your home with tremendous benefits. This is my magic everyday routine and habit that has changed my life.

Wow, most of us think exercise to be just all about the body and such, but you actually went deeper to talk about, mood, confidence and the likes.

I think it's high time I take this thing (exercise) more serious.

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful piece.
