"We just saved one life today." That's what Mommy D said in her soft voice after handing this little Missy to me. When I saw her, I instantly fell in love with her, especially her color and her cute eyes. Like, who wouldn't? Look at her, look at that cute little baby. She's so tiny yet very fierce. She fought back when our cat tried to bully her. And seriously, she has a really loud voice.
It started this morning, I heard a very loud cry of a cat somewhere, but I can't pinpoint where it is. And I really thought the oldies were just watching some funny clips of cats on their phones, just like what they always do. I just found out that it is actually not, and it's a real cry from a baby cat. Mommy D was bothered by it too because she could hear it too. So I think she looks for it while I'm in my room rotting 'myself in bed. Lol.
Mommy D found her near the empty lot behind our house. She's hiding in the table in there, so Mommy D picked her up, and then she gave this tiny baby to me. I tried to tame her by patting and caressing her fluffy fur, she loved it so much, I tell yah! Then she looked so hungry, so we fed her some cat treats. And my, she's really hungry the way she nibbles the food aggressively.
I'm really mad at the people who abandoned her. But I'm thankful too that they dropped her off near our home because at least now, she has found a home. But maybe those people know that we have a bunch of cats at home, that's why they chose to abandon her near our home. Whoever they are, well, I just hope karma won't hit you hard.
How could you abandon this cutie? How could you? But seriously, look how tiny she is. And she already experienced being abandoned, just like that. Hahh, kisses for you, little Missy ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
You know, she's been crying loudly even after eating. So I think she's really craving her momma cat's milk. We can put her beside Wiswis as I shared yesterday, she just gave birth to three cute little kitties. But this little Missy is not too fond of any other cat. Maybe to hide her fears and to protect herself, she's been putting up walls, and she just doesn't let anyone approach her. She gets really mad as if she can't just trust anyone. I had to comfort her a lot of times today to also remind her that she has a new home now.
And yep, she loves cuddles and being held down. She loves licking my fingers too, I see it as her way of thanking me for feeding her cat treats. And I love that she put down her defense as if she fully trusts me now. But she's still different when it comes to our cats. She can't just trust them yet. And Nikka, she's being too playful, her kind of playtime actually is slapping this little Missy's face, and that's why she also reacts violently. Aigoooo ┐( ˘_˘)┌
I think she really wants to sleep but can't for some reason. But when I put her in my lap, after moving here and there, she found a perfect spot to sleep, that's when she started to really sleep. I decided to move her to Nikka's bed, but she will wake up and will start crying again. But thanks heaven, I was able to put her to sleep later on. I thought she would finally succumb to sleepiness, but then she would just suddenly cry again as if she's lost. But when Mommy F and I tried to talk and comfort her, she stopped and went back to sleep again. I feel like she has trust issues now after being abandoned by her old owner, tsk, tsk!
Lunchtime! I decided to let her eat with the other cats so that she can get used to them. I soaked some dry cat food in a water a while ago, so her food is already prepared. She eats a little, after that, she just goes back to sleep again. She can sleep now that she's sure she has a home that she can sleep in.
