Quienes tienen gatos, saben lo mucho que les encantan las cajas, sea para jugar, romper, rascarse o esconderse, y mi Aramis no es la excepción.
Lo gracioso es que no importa el tamaño, ellos buscan la manera de meterse en ellas como si fueran un refugio o un parque de diversiones.
Traer a casa una caja, es ver a Aramis atenta en algún rincón, esperando poder tomar posesión de ella, aunque no haya sido un regalo para ella.
Así que cada tanto le traigo una exclusiva para ella, aunque la que sale ilustrando esta publicación, fue más una travesura de su parte, pues en ella había traído unas cosas del supermercado que venían del freezer y no quería que me mojaran el resto de la compra.
Pero luego de sacar el contenido, noto la ansiedad de Aramis viendo hacia la mesa, y como es mi costumbre, lanzo la caja al piso, viniendo ella rápidamente a tratar de meterse, quedando estas divertidas fotos de ella en su empeño de encajar justo en donde el pronóstico decía todo lo contrario.
Al parecer, ella no se ha dado cuenta que ya es una gata grande de 3 años, que no puede hacer las mismas cosas que cuando era una bebé recién llegada a la casa, pero en su cabeza mientras pueda entrar, así sea incómoda, las cajas que llegan acá deben ser inspeccionadas por ella, ya luego verá si la quiere o no.
De las cajas anteriores, solo quedan los recuerdos, pues al parecer se cansa y ya luego ni las mira, pero esta cajita en particular no deja que la agarre, y cada vez que trato de sacarla de casa, sale corriendo y se mete en ella, como diciendo, "esto es mío". Quizás sienta que le mantiene el calor en estos fríos días de invierno, pero por lo pronto, Aramis tiene ya su espacio delimitado a la hora de dormir.

So every now and then I bring her one just for her, although the one pictured in this post was more of a prank on her part—I’d used it to carry some frozen items from the supermarket and didn’t want them to get the rest of my groceries wet.
But after taking out the contents, I noticed Aramis’s eagerness as she looked toward the table, and as is my habit, I tossed the box on the floor. She quickly came running to try to squeeze inside, resulting in these funny photos of her trying to fit right where the odds were clearly against her.
Apparently, she hasn’t realized that she’s already a big 3-year-old cat who can’t do the same things she did when she was a kitten just arriving at our home, but in her mind, as long as she can fit inside—even if it’s uncomfortable—the boxes that arrive here must be inspected by her, and she’ll decide later whether she wants them or not.
All that’s left of those old boxes are memories, since it seems he gets tired of them and doesn’t even look at them anymore, but this particular little box—he won’t let me touch it, and every time I try to take it out of the house, he runs over and crawls inside it, as if to say, “This is mine.” Maybe he feels it keeps him warm on these cold winter days, but for now, Aramis already has his own designated space when it’s time to sleep.
