One of the things I appreciate about my neighborhood is that it speaks of nature. It is deeply connected to and reflective of the natural world. There are abundance of green spaces - farmlands, trees, and other green areas that bring a sense of calm and serenity.
There's also wildlife presence. It is home to various birds, squirrels, rodents and others. Some locals often engage in hunting activities to obtain bush meat for food. Although there are no natural scenery like a body of water, hills, or mountains, which can provide breathtaking views and a sense of connection to the land, it
has a harmonious relationship with nature, making it a peaceful and inspiring place to live.
I love taking morning walks around my neighborhood especially on some weekends when I wouldn't be working. Such walks not only offer me the opportunity to appreciate nature's beauty, but I also get to stay informed about local happenings. Very important, hope you understand, lol.
So over the weekend, I embarked on my usual morning walk and I stumbled upon a fascinating sight that left me both surprised and amused. I bet you'd be surprised too, hehehe.
Lying carefreely on the roadside were these two dogs. At first, I thought they might be sleeping, but as I drew closer I realized that they were simply soaking up the warm morning sun. Imagine such a sight! And you know what, they were pregnant!. I guess, in their third trimester because their abdomen were more pronounced with enlarged nipples and they looked a bit lethargic.
I stood looking at them and couldn't help being amused by their nonchalant demeanor, as if they didn't care that people were passing by. It was as if they were saying, "We're enjoying the sunshine. You're welcome to look at us or you can just walk around us but please don't bother us."
I can bet they were equally chatting casually about their experiences with pregnancy just like humans do, lol.
As I stood there, observing these two canine friends, I just drew a mental picture of myself at the beach, basking in the morning sun's gentle rays and sipping Chapman on the rocks, lol. Oh I just wish I would have the opportunity to experience this someday soon. I'd be so excited. 😂
Well before then, I will have to keep enjoying the sunshine on my morning walks.
After taking snapshots of the dogs, I continued my walk. I hope that by the next time I meet them, or I come across them, they would have had their litters just like Timmy, my adopted pet. I miss her. Hope to go visit her soon.
Since these pregnant dogs, or rather dogs generally can take out time to appreciate the small pleasures in life, then nothing is gonna stop me from doing so as often as I can.
All work and no pleasure is detrimental to the body!
Thank you for reading.
Still the #threadsaddict 😂
