Today I want to share with you some information that could be very valuable for your animals, I will tell you a little about my case to understand what I am talking about. Since December 31st of last year we have a puppy that we adopted, which thanks to God has grown very healthy and strong, however the only problem has been that we could not find a way to fight ticks without resorting to such an invasive solution as vaccines against these ectoparasites. I bathed him frequently with soaps, other times I applied water after the bath in which I had boiled a plant called Neem, which I was told was good to counteract the ticks or I rubbed vinegar on him (this worked while he was a puppy but later it didn't work anymore) until one day I found this product in the pet section of a store. It is a product designed for dogs and cats and although it can be used without a prescription it is advisable to read the package to know the method of use and the amount to use according to the size of the animal. In this post I will tell you about our experience using it.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una información que podría resultar muy valiosa para sus animales, les contaré un poco acerca de mi caso para comprendan de qué les hablo. Desde el 31 de diciembre del año pasado tenemos un perrito que adoptamos, el cuál gracias a Dios ha crecido muy sano y fuerte, sin embargo el único problema ha sido que no encontrábamos manera de combatir las garrapatas sin recurrir a una solución tan invasiva como lo son las vacunas contra estos ectoparásitos. Yo lo bañaba con frecuencia con jabones, otras veces le aplicaba después del baño agua en la que había hervido una planta que se llama Neem, la cual me dijeron que era buena para contrarrestar a las garrapatas o le untaba vinagre (esto funcionó mientras él era un cachorro pero posteriormente no funcionó más) Hasta que en una ocasión encontré este producto en la sección de mascotas de una tienda. Es un producto diseñado para perros y gatos y aunque se puede usar sin receta médica es recomendable leer el empaque para saber el método de uso y la cantidad que se debe usar según el tamaño del animal. En este post te contaré acerca de nuestra experiencia usándolo.

Adentro de la caja está un frasco con el producto que es líquido, y también contiene un pulverizador para facilitar la aplicación. Luego de leer las instrucciones procedí a ponerme un par de guantes. Esto es importante porque el producto no debe hacer contacto con nuestra piel.

First I started at the back, on his hind legs, which is where ticks often accumulated. The instructions say to slide your hand against the grain and apply the product, but in the paw area you obviously apply it between your fingers and the pads. It has a strong chemical odor but although it is moderately toxic it does not pose a danger to dogs and cats.
Primero empecé por la parte de atrás, por sus patas traseras que es donde muchas veces se acumulaban las garrapatas. Las instrucciones dicen que debes deslizar la mano a contrapelo y aplicar el producto, pero en la zona de las patas obviamente lo aplicas entre los dedos y las almohadillas. Tiene un olor fuerte a químico pero a pesar que es moderadamente tóxico no representa un peligro para los perros y los gatos.

In the area of his neck I was more emphatic because that was where I used to get the most ticks. I must confess that at first I was afraid that Harry (my dog) would lick himself, but fortunately he didn't feel like it, so I was just praying to God that this would work.
En la zona de su cuello fui más enfática porque era allí donde yo solía conseguir más garrapatas. Debo confesarles que en un inicio yo tenía miedo que Harry (mi perro) se lamiera, pero afortunadamente no tuvo ganas de hacerlo, así que solo estaba pidiéndole a Dios que esto funcionara.
In the area of his face you have to be very careful, so the instructions on the package recommend applying the product in your hands (gloved), rub and apply it, never use the spray directly on the face because you run the risk of getting the liquid in places where it should not, such as the eyes, nose or mouth.
En la zona de su carita hay que ser muy cuidadosos, así que las instrucciones del empaque recomiendan aplicar el producto en las manos (enguantadas) frotar y aplicarlo, nunca usar el pulverizador directamente sobre la cara porque se corre el riesgo de que entre el líquido en lugares donde no debe como los ojos, la nariz o la boca.
Friends I was impressed to see how all the ticks that were still on his body began to come out and die, and by the afternoon the few that I was able to take out were completely dead and dry, in fact in the following days I was checking Harry's coat and I did not find even a single one, so I can assure you that the experience was very satisfactory and successful, best of all is that the effect lasts for a month 😃.
Amigos yo estaba impresionada de ver como todas las garrapatas que aún estaban en su cuerpo comenzaron a salir y a morir, y por la tarde las pocas que pude sacarle estaban totalmente muertas y secas, de hecho en los días sucesivos estuve revisando el pelaje de Harry y no encontré ni siquiera una sola, así que les puedo asegurar que la experiencia fue muy satisfactoria y exitosa, lo mejor de todo es que el efecto dura por un mes 😃.
I am really very pleased to have finally found the solution to the problem, the product is not so cheap, it has a value of $ 7 and depending on the size of the animal may be a single application, but I assure you that it is totally worth it. De verdad estoy muy complacida de haber encontrado finalmente la solución al problema, el producto no es tan barato, tiene un valor de 7 $ y dependiendo del tamaño del animal puede ser de una sola aplicación, pero les aseguro que vale totalmente la pena.
