I read your post and immediately something comes to mind that here in Venezuela we call "viveza criolla" (The most adequate translation into English I think would be "local cunning opportunism" and it is a term which refers to that capacity of some people to try to take advantage of everything selfishly, then play dumb, avoid sanctions and do the same thing again to mock for having done it more than once... Unfortunately, this "local cunning opportunism" is part of everything that has led my country to the impressive decline in which we are increasingly immersed 😒... As always, an interesting reflection written in a very legible and concise way... Thanks for sharing... By the way, beautiful photos of flowers and even more the close-ups of the lichen, wow!
