It happened clandestinely but one thing that happened this month was my Hive birthday. On the 17th of December, I celebrate my first step into the world of crypto through Hive.
This year,I turned 6 on Hive and wow, it has been a very long time. If you've been around from the beginning, then I don't need to tell you origin story but if you haven't then all I can say is that you had to be there.
Hive itself was created more recently but I try to unify my experience by assuming I've been on Hive throughout the period. In reality though, I have been here from the beginning and I'm not leaving.
It still gives me goosebumps when I think of it. I know you think hive power is important but if you were around back then, you'll understand the Power in Hive Power.
Everyone banded together to bring this community to life and since then, we have continued to grow. In some way, you could say that the hardfork that brought hive to life was the community dropping dead weight and finally reaching its potential.
It is far from perfect but we're growing and learning every day. So yeah, that's 6 years of hive and so many more to come.
