Pleasant greetings to you all. Hope your day went really well.
I wanted to start this post by stating how sad and upset I am but as I picked up my phone to type,, I didn't feel sad nor did I feel angry as against what I should feel.
The wickedness in this world is so much presently that certain emotions are now numb in me. I know you guys are wondering about what I'm implying or what I'm driving at. Don't worry, I'll surely drive my point home.
For some days, I've become very interested in the assassination case of a popular and “controversial” American figure. The murder occurred on September 5th in Utah where this figure was holding a campus meeting.
His name was Charlie Kirk and he was an entrepreneur, fully known for his courageous faith in God and also his bold contrasting views against certain cultural beliefs in the USA. He held a different opinion on legalized abortions, gay marriage and many other left-wing beliefs. He wasn't ashamed of his beliefs nor did he back down despite controversies
Now, here is the crux of my post.
”Having a different opinion on a matter is free and normal .We will not all have the same opinions on every matter at every point. So why take a disagreement to the point of assassination?*
This is the question that has weighed on my heart for days now as I watched more and more of his videos online.
The young man who shot him was only 22 years old. He was described by police reports as non violent, kind and respectful. He wasn't even into politics until about a few years ago when he began a love relationship with a transgender male.
This young man claimed that his hatred for Charlie was outpouring. Why?”, I thought again and the speculations were that Charlie spoke against LGBT community.
Seriously, I have watched tons of Charlie Kirk's videos and the only thing that I felt was his genuine passion to help erring youths see themselves the way God designed them. Charlie Kirk did not impose his opinions on anyone but he was not shy about being different with his views.
I watched how his wife talked about his passion and purpose and I felt her pain deeply. Their marriage was only four years old and blessed with two kids who are still so young to understand what had happened to their dad.
We can have different opinions. We can even disagree to agree but I don't think that disagreement should lead to violence or murder.
It would be even better if you disengaged from any discussion that holds conflicting views from yours if you feel like it is heading nowhere.
This is just my humble take on this but truthfully, the amount of wickedness is on the extreme and it is looking like humanity is losing its humanness
I hope someone finds this useful.
Thank you all for reading 💞💞💞
