Well Hello There Everyone!
Just Fit It.
Well that is easier said than done and especially so when you are not the one needing to do all of the work right?
Okay in this case if we do fit it and it turns into a problem, well the client has to pay for it right?
On paper that sounds absolutely breathtakingly good!
Right?
Topic Change!
Most people would probably think how the heck do we keep track of what is what with all those transmissions sitting around!
We just do, or at-least we think we do! Nah we do!
The First Ever!
I am so glad that Bossman decided to go above and beyond and not listen to the client this time!
The client bought a scrapyard transmission and as you can think it's almost always a lucky packet deal! Either you get something great or you get something totally buggered! It's one or the other!
Word of advice don't always pick the cleanest one around! Laughs I've seen many people fall for that stunt!
Here's The Thing.
The client didn't want us to add extra labour to the work by tearing open the transmission and making sure everything is indeed fine. That I can understand but buddy.. is that the road you want to walk? Is it really?
Especially with a scrapyard box that has been sitting in the rain for maybe years?
We decided to pull it open anyways, or at-least just the tips of everything! Just opening it up in one place would show a lot of what's going on inside!
So we pulled it open, without adding the hours to the job sheet!
Okay You Can Scream "I Told You So" Now!
Laughs!
By the looks of this it wasn't really necessary to even open it up at all! The transmission is looking real dank inside! Loving it!
Then again as Bossman said it's experience that can never be taken away from me and thus is why I don't back down with doing something twice or thrice or fucking twenty times if I have to!
Practice Makes Perfect!
That is a fact!
It'll Show Quite Clearly!
Now if this transmission had any damage at all it would show so easily in the cracks and crevasses of the casings!
Any metal shavings will sink down into the bottom and stack up on one another into small heaps of metal and burnt oil!
This casing does have some discoloration but it's nothing out of the ordinary! A fill and drain on the transmission would sort that out easy!
What a lucky client ey guys!
