Afro-beats have come to stay and conquering the whole wide world with great tunes, melodic Nigerian languages and folktale. Some notable names and stars like Davido, Wiskid, BurnaBoy etc have been born and worshipped because of their musical exploits and achievement.

Afro-beats is a music genre that's traditionally to Nigerian and other inspiring African countries. All glory from this music and achievement points directly to it's pioneer. Fela as he is popularly known. He and his band tour the then known world and perform on many stages. His musical prowess knows no bound as he is very talented with all musical instruments, including African instruments and build his tunes with them. He tells of great stories and give advice with his songs. I'm very interested with the one about water where he melodic praise this universal liquid as it's very helpful to the humanity. His band include over twenty-five women that dance and live peacefully with him. Truly, He is a African man, original as he sangs.

Afro-beats have helped many people and excite us happily. We hardly host any African parties with them. We sang and dance with this high pitch, but graceful music. It's musical mix had all traditional musical instruments like the gongs, cymbals and flutes. I'm very interested with flutes as we used it for worshipping and praising our wealthy people's achievements and forefathers. With it, the player can categorical mention the names and praise the achievers, their worth and urge us to imitate them. What a way of educating people with entertainment backgrounds.

Apart from the musical tunes, Afro-beats have great lyrics which is mostly African languages and cultures. English Pidgin language plays an important role in our songs. It's a form of English language which is like creole, Afrikaans and others. There are many slangs in the language which makes it significant as those slangs are proverbial statements which motivate, excite and educate the listeners. For example, Last, Last by BurnaBoy, self-aclaimed African giant is very amazing and awesome with international recognition. In the song, He highlighted the power of resilience that's noticeable in every black person and encourage them to use it for good course. What a great message!

In our Afro-beats, many of our cultural beliefs are embedded. Before now, our forefather teaches their younger ones with many teaching aids which music is included. Warriors are inspired and motivated to do wonders and greatness. Some of the songs talks about our cultural differences and uniqueness. Fela even talks about the several African names for toilet and it's importance. The significance of this song of his is that some little things in life can go unnoticed but very important in our lives. In other of his song, "ITT" which means international Theif - Theif talks about those corrupt politicians and cronies that enriches themselves and their families with national treasures. He unequivocally mentioned notable names of those corrupt politicians which infuriates them, but excites and enlighten the masses. The lessons on that lesson is the importance of honesty as a good virtue because if everyone do the right thing in honesty, everywhere will be good and enjoyable.

Although these new musicians on the Afro-beats blocks talks more about the African beauty and marvelous works, it still hold dear to the original idea of the forerunner. My love for such traditional music knows no bound as it is on replay daily on many occasions.
