The power and influence of music on culture and identity
As i have always said that there is no how music wont be heard one way or the other in this generation we are now even though one doesnt have a phone that can easily make one have access to music, definitely music can be played through television, radio and the rest of it so i short every human have access to music in one way or the other.
So for this week initiative, the topic we are dwelling on is the power and influence of music on culture and identity, the past topic is just similar to this but this time around one will just elaborate more on this one because it is more specific and making it more easy to talk more on it. As we know, there are various tribes in the country and even at that there are different language be spoken in each tribes, so bringing music in is a plus because it is really special and it bring harmony in to the world. So now lets go into details of the topic, how music has power and influence on culture and identity.
Starting with the fact that music can actually been seen as the fastest way to communicate, months back i was in a gathering where various people came to celebrate a naming ceremony and actually i dont really know a lot of people there because my friend forced me to follow him so i was just sitting there waiting for the ceremony to finish on time and i will start heading home, then all of a sudden i just heard this voice of a lady singing in another language which is different from the normal general language we know but for me i dont understand that language but guess the funniest part, I knew the song she was singing.
The song was not the langauge i knew but the fact that i knew the song even in that language and i sang along with her, I dont know how we started talking from there and we exchanged contact which we became friends right from there and all i could imagine was that i was able to make a new friend just because i could sing the song she was singing in that language and i was so suprised seeing that[ within a short period of time. Music has made peace reign in some part of the country where there seems to be war and disorderloness but due to music, there have been several ways to preach peace for them since it is one of the fastest way of reaching out to people.
It can be shared on social media and also online which made it possible seeing lot of young people making use of the internet and all. Music has power and it has influenced a lot one way or the other in culture and making identity know to others who are not aware before.
Music is indeed Therapeutic and it is bring peace and love.
