RE: Bluebird houses in the snow

I only have one bluebird house, but it has only ever been lived in by wrens. Bluebirds fly right past the house to come to my feeders. Raccoons are my biggest threat. So glad I don't have bears to worry about.

Sort:

The only bluebirds I ever attracted had a nest in the birdhouse that got pulled down by the bear 🙁 I moved my houses to better locations hopefully 🤞 the last time it was warm here, a couple of weeks ago we had some blue birds in the yard that were checking out the houses 🙂 actually went inside

I cleaned out last year's wrens nest, so maybe this year. I hadn't expected to see bluebirds until spring!

We have some bluebirds that hang around through the winter. They don't mind the cold as long as they can still find something to eat.
