If you ever make it to the Pacific Northwest region of the US, there are museums aplenty, but one in particular is worth the effort to visit outside the Seattle/Tacoma or Portland urban centers. The Maryhill Museum is an eclectic place with Rodin sculptures, native folk art, Orthodox icons, and rotating local artist collections just to name a few of their exhibits.
Just down the road, there is also the Stonehenge war memorial, but if that's too somber, there are wineries, a railroad museum, waterfalls, Beacon Rock, and other attractions to see depending on your choice of routes back to Portland or Seattle.
