I love textile art in general. A few years back I got mentally into some pieces I was seeing on the net and maybe a program about some style and for a little bit I entertained the idea of getting a small loom. I'm glad that idea faded before I could do it though. I get so caught up in the beauty and the thought of it.

Most likely a part of the artists are drawn to creating other type or art at some point in their career and that is totally normal. Failing, or getting a different outcome than the one expected is also normal. The question is, how tolerant you are or how to process failure, or if you perceive such an experience as failure and ultimately the costs as those need to be taken into consideration as well. You can work with cutoffs, leftovers, but the frame still costs money.
