Hello photo lovers,
I think I can say now that there was no winter at all in the Netherlands. But that's no surprise I think. We didn't have a decent winter in over 20 years. We did had some snow day's in the last couple of years but after on ore two day's the snow was already gone. And Ice is hardly thick enough to skate on. The last 20 years I ice-skated about four times. I could make a post about that to some day. I probably can find some pictures of that.
Last week we reached temperatures of 20 Celsius in the day time. The next couple of day's I do see a prediction of some frost in the night but in the day time it's going to be about 10 Celsius. Yes, winter is gone.
For this post I have some un-published pictures of a winter day here in Zeist.
As you can see here, there was not a lot of snow on the ground. But it did stick to the trees very nicely.
I know my places to shoot in the forest as you can see. i drove my bike to this point and you see that the snow is already gone were I drove.
This is one of my favorite lanes in the forest here in Zeist. It's "het laantje zonder eind" (the land without end) It's a 5 kilometers long land right trough the whole forest next to the city of Zeist. I will pin it in the @worldmappin below. You can see where the lane is going. I still need to walk the whole lane one day. That seems fun to me but the down side is that you also need to walk back again.
As you can see here, I photographed the same men during his walkies. He passed me and we talked a little. He is easily recognizable by his posture.
The bike lane was already clear of snow, but it stuck very well to the branches.
