Hello photo lovers,
I finished my black and white series of the outside of the Niemeyer center.
I wanted to keep this series as minimal as possible. That's why I decided that it needed to be a bit extreme white. That was easy because the outside of the building was already white and the floor a bit beige. And the weather also helped a lot. It was raining and snowing and the clouds were just one grey mass.
I waited for a long time outside until there were some people walking across the square. I needed them to show you how big the area really was. I love to use that kind of contrast in my pictures.
The weather was perfect for shooting this location. the floor was a giant mirror full of beautiful reflections. This is a restaurant, and just like the museum it was closed.
It was really cold, windy and wet outside. The conditions to take pictures in were very harsh.
A big advantage of that was that the people who were walking outside over there, had nice postures and umbrella's. I love to see that in pictures. Look at how she is walking. That really ads something to the story of these pictures.
Some people are die hard's, walking in the rain and snow without umbrella ore rain clothes.
There were some round structures here that were made for ventilation of the parking garage that is down there. I wanted to put them in frame to but I found that a bit hard. It was a long day and I was cold. Next time I will go here during nicer weather.
I like the composition from this corner the best. here you can see perfectly how big it is and the lines from the sky bridge. and because I was standing dry here.
