I captured these photos using my smartphone camera in macro mode. The subject is a wildflower that we often see on the edges of rice paddies or fields, but rarely pay attention to in detail. Upon closer inspection, this small flower displays a unique beauty that is no less captivating than the ornamental flowers we commonly grow in our yards.
What caught my attention was the texture of the flower, which was in its final blooming phase. The petals were beginning to dry, but beneath them, tiny stamens were still visible, still standing upright. The fine details of the petals and the fine hairs on the stem were also clearly visible, giving it a distinctive natural feel.
The background of the photo is a green expanse of rice paddy. I used a macro lens to capture the image. This creates a sense of contrast between the main object and its surroundings, allowing this small flower to stand out amidst its simplicity.
For me, macro photography isn't just about magnifying small objects, but also about learning to appreciate the simple things around us. Wildflowers, often considered ordinary, actually hold beauty if we pause for a moment to look more closely.

Hopefully, this photo will remind us that beauty doesn't always have to be sought in luxurious places or grand vistas; sometimes it comes in simple forms growing among the grass.
