I was thinking... how many artists were ahead of their time and were not taken into account or were criticised?

Most likely every single one of them, unless they were the sun of some high society members and were pushed forward artificially, even if they were not talented. But I doubt there were any. I don't even mention women as they had no place anywhere in those days. Even writers were adopting male writing alias, to be able to publish something.

If they were to relive and see their successes, I hope they would have a big smile on their face.
