RE: Folk Costumes & Tradition

I notice that there they often do dressing like the old times, here it's less common... A little bit reminds some Austrian style

Teens doing this deserve respect, they love their culture and prefer that over stick to their phones whole day

Sort:

Schools are helping out a lot as they have performances at the end of the year, or if there's an event as otherwise these teens won't get into folk dance, or just a fraction of them.

This festival is all about tradition, so it was obvious folk dance and folk costumes will be present.

That's the school I want! That's the good teaching it should be doing... Here they do nothing for the end of the year, it just finishes the school and that's it, all back home

That is shocking and not good. Here they have different events and tradition is always on the menu, as it should be. If not in school, where would these kids learn about it?

Consider that school that tried something traditional for Christmas have been flamed and accused of not being inclusive and respectful of other religions (cough you can imagine which one)... That's also one of the reason I bring the kid at all fairs, beside the joy, it's also a way to see part of our traditions and teach him that

Unfortunately the current trend is not what it should be. I mean Christmas has been celebrated for as long as humanity, Christians of course. Now we are trying to respect others, by forgetting and pushing aside our values? wtf?

You do a great job. As a parent, it's your job to teach your kids what they should know.

It is retarded and I agree, but from a society where if you say "I feel I am a chair" then you are a chair, what can you expect? East Europe probably goes better... Poland, Hungary, not sure about Romania

Thanks!
