Last month I visited Svolvær in Lofoten islands, Norway.
In this area there are some groups of sea eagles, beautiful predators living in this wild area.
They have a proud looks, and they seem to be the kings of mountains, the owner of these remote places:
Wingspan can reach 2.65 meters and 7 Kg of weight.
They are confident with humans, and we had luck: they came very near to our boat, because of there was no strong wind.
They eat fishes (cods, salmons) and they build their nests on rocks, reusing the same nest for more breeding season.
In only Norway are living more than 2,000 breeding couples.
It has been a very impressive experience to see them catch the fish:
They are very fast and it has been not easy to take good pictures during fishing, but I'm happy for the result!
Sometimes they fight over food:
Here their habitat. You can see a green wood of pines: these trees are not from Norway, they have planted it to obtain wood but they remains small (maybe for cold temperature), and they are not so useful for building.
Finally Trollfjord, with its calm and relaxing water. A wild special place with rocks smoothed by past glaciers and high peaks:
