It’s still hot here; on Friday the temperature reached 40 degrees and it’s been stifling, a heatwave lasting more than nine days, which has really taken its toll on me. Luckily, last night the air felt different, and even more so now with these beautiful paintings. Those green roots are lovely, and that’s one of the paintings I’d choose. The realism is superb, and yes, it takes a long time, hours and days, to paint a picture with that level of detail, especially given the size. It depends on how much time you devote to it each day; someone experienced might take a week or more.
