Above all its the people who really make a place interesting place to be! so very! Its a reality!
Whenever, I capture a location, a venue or a #landscape... I often watch it, see it, review it couple of times, all I get is, different perspectives to ONE Capture!!! It literally stimulates my senses.
This one too is pretty unique!
"Place Vendome"
The "Place Vendome" is truly renowned for its absolutely fashionable & deluxe #hotels, such as The Ritz, Paris.
Several really very famous "dress designers" have their #salons in the #square.
Wonderfully enough, It's only from the "17th century" the #square took the name that we know today...the "Place Vendôme"...!!!
It actually, takes its name from the "Hotel Vendome" & its #gardens, the site where the "square" is built.
Nevertheless, It is now, one of the "most famous squares" in #Paris & is considered one of the most #luxurious in the #world! Isn't that truly surprising enough! Of course it is!!!
Its interesting to know that this "octagonal #place #Vendôme" & the "arcaded-colonnaded" #buildings around it, were built, constructed between the year 1687 and the year 1721. Today, it stands with pride for its sheer luxury & beauty. How amazing is that!
The Place Vendôme was earlier known as the "Place Louis-le-Grand", & also as the "Place Internationale"!!!
This #royal square was built by "Louis XIV" to truly honor his "military victories", which today is home to several "high-end jewelers" and the #Ritz #hotel.
Its quite amazing to see how the artisans and the architects of that era took sincere efforts to build/construct something so beautiful and elegant that withstood time and holds great relevance hundreds of years later and still going strong! How wonderful is that!
