Antirrhinum majus aka Snapdragon flower is beautifully different and distinct from rest of the flowers.
They don't have usual looking petals, with a unique circular shape, style and design.
They are pretty much different from many other #flowers.
The most curious case is it's shape that makes it look distinct from several other flowers.
The creativity of Mother #Nature is totally incredible and outstandingly fabulous, there is no doubt about that!!!
My today's #flower in question is literally distinct.
Scientifically/Botanically it's called as:
Antirrhinum majus
There are couple of other common names:
Dragon flower
Snapdragon
Toadflax
Dog flower
Quite interestingly, when were kids we would crazily squeeze the Back of the flower, it opens like the mouth of a Dragon and plenty of people across the globe also call it as a dog flower, since it has striking resemblance to the mouth of a dog.
When pressed from behind, it actually imitates like a dog barking in all the quietness.
Wonderfully enough it has several beautiful colours...White, red, pink, yellow, orange, maroon, purple, violet and several dual tones.
Moreover, Snapdragons are amazingly known for their stunningly gorgeous and colorful blossoms and blooms.
Be aware that Snapdragon flower has several medicinal properties that are truly worthy.
Nevertheless, Snapdragon is a florist flower and widely used in making bouquet 💐!
Interestingly, Snapdragon flower are considered to be edible and used in salads and various other preparations.
Snapdragons have a unique and distinct scent and aroma around them, but it's not overly fragrant.
The young buds and fully grown flowers look truly charming and fabulous. They stimulate a great level of curiosity around them.
