you describe natural law. it is self-evident that we are free until we infringe on someone else's freedom to self-determination. an open ear can be the best gift anyone receives and the positive effects of your taking the time and attention to listen to that lady might go on in incredible ways.

we may feel it is "only" a conversation but there is always the chance of a positive domino effect!

        Thank you very much for your feedback. I had not thought about the domino effect, it is so true what you mention. A "simple" conversation can generate so many positive things that we should not take for granted the fact that we are ready to listen when someone needs us.
