Lately, I have been thinking and asking myself what truly makes life feel calm, meaningful, and free. For me, a simple, minimalist life is not about having a perfectly empty room or living like a monk- it's about removing the unnecessary things that weigh me down both physically and emotionally.
How I picture it
I imagine waking up in the room it house that feels light and peaceful. No piles of clothes on the chair, no unnecessary items around every corner of the house. Just the few things I truly need.
A calm and quiet morning without any rush - maybe a quiet walk, some deep breaths, and a light breakfast. No constant noise from my phone or social media. Just space to be present.
What I want to keep
A clean and uncluttered space
A few clothes I love wearing
Simple daily routine that makes me feel calm.
Time to rest, breath and think.
Nature work and quiet sunshine.
Meaningful conversation with people that bring peace and not chaos.
What I want to let go of
Unnecessary possessions that don't add value
Rushing through life without enjoying the moment.
Toxic energy and fake appearance.
The pleasure to always want more
Constant noise -both around me and in my mind.
Why it matters
Minimalism gives me room yo breathe. It remains me that happiness is not in how much I own, but in how much I value what I have already. It's about focusing on experiences over things, and living intentionally instead of just existing.
I'm still learning and simplifying little by little. But each step toward minimalism makes my life lighter, calmer, and more meaningful.
