Year End New Clothing Audit, 6th Year
✨"This tradition started after I saw an episode of Hasan Minhaj's show where he said that in the 80s, the average American bought a dozen new clothing items per year, but in the modern era the average is 68! That's more than one a week and speaks to the disposable nature of the fast fashion industry. I try and focus on quality over quantity, and get pieces that will last rather than lots that will fall apart. This also works well since I don't have a ton of money to spend on clothes!" @phoenixwren
Life is easier
✨"Even if nothing wants to give me happiness, I go ahead and get it myself. I have also learnt that I don't need the whole money in this world to stay happy and relax. The secret is making do with whatever is on the ground. Imagine, one of the beautiful things I wish I could do or start practising is visiting the gym for regular exercise. @ainajane
#saturdaysavers | Household Budgeting - Does Deliveroo save you money?
✨"Healthwise, I'm a half-arsed vegan (that is, turning up and doing what I can) and aiming to get more fibre into my diet. I also want to spend less time messing about in the kitchen. I've come up with a skeleton meal plan that will keep me focused, help me budget for shopping and keep me out of the kitchen. The categories are broad suggestions, so that I know where I am and days, especially Thursday to Sunday, can be swapped around depending on what I'm doing." @shanibeer
Reading and its challenges for me
✨"Both visual fatigue and not wanting and not being able to accumulate books at home are challenges for me, which affect my ability to fully enjoy one of my favourite hobbies, however, I still do it, just not as much as before, I limit the time I spend reading on the phone to avoid eye discomfort or headaches, and although I love physical books, it is not loving to me, nor to them (because they can be eaten by termites) to have them." @jemima1996
Capturing beautiful moments
✨"One of my favourite hobbies is taking pictures of nature. I am passionate about it to the point of staying for a long time until I get the shot I want. I am not a professional photographer and I have not been able to take a photography course, however, I have read some tips on the internet about the law of the horizon, and how to clean the photos, the truth is that I don't know about photography, maybe with time I can educate myself about it and make this hobby more fun.

A Slice of Rural Peace in My Urban Life
✨"Slowing down has been difficult in a fast-paced environment, but I've begun to make deliberate decisions to simplify my life. For example, instead of filling my days with errands, I combine trips or occasionally simply let non-urgent tasks wait. Learning to decline unnecessary commitments has been liberating.
I have also adopted a minimalist mindset. I used to believe that I needed more: more clothes, more gadgets, more of everything, but now I realize how liberating it is to own less. My home is gradually becoming a space that feels relaxed and uncluttered." @coloringiship
REPURPOSING UNWANTED GIFTS
✨"As a minimalist, when it comes to receiving gifts that we know we don’t need I believe there are ways we can go about it and not seem like an unappreciative person and also not to make us just allow things sit around our space cluttering it. There are some cases when we are privileged to receive gifts from people who are close to us and most times, those gifts are things we appreciate and we have use of because these persons know us and the things we like. Sometimes, even before they get us these gifts, they have gotten the opportunity to ask us the things we would like to get as presents." @hopestylist
Unwrapping Intentions: The Real Gift Behind the Present
✨"As much as I loved the earrings (seriously, they’re gorgeous), owning two identical pairs felt excessive. I mean, what am I supposed to do with an extra set? Keep them as a backup in case the first pair goes rogue. Sounds like greed to me, especially since I’m annoyingly careful with my stuff. So, I did the next best thing: I gave one pair to my sister for Christmas. She loved them, and honestly, it felt good knowing the earrings were getting the love they deserved." @whatmidesays
Dealing with unwanted gifts
✨"Should I refuse to accept such a gift as it is not useful to me? No, there is no chance for it. Refusing to accept a gift is impolite and humiliating in my opinion, even if it's not a desired gift. So it's better to accept the gift from the person to keep the person's face and to show gratitude. It's a formality. But what to do with those gifts because they are not useful to me, and in that case keeping the gifts with me is also a waste as it has no use case." @intishar
Mindful living; Nature's embrace.
✨"It was interesting to see that what woke me up today wasn't the sound of car horns or unnecessary noise but the sound of nature. The sound of birds chirping, chickens moving about, and the swaying of trees right next to me. Ever since I made my way to nature's beauty of peace and quietness, I have found my breath filled with undiluted air.
Everything is natural. Every breath makes me realise how wealthy those who live deep in nature are. The air they breathe is natural… " @balikis95
