It is practical and simple 🥳☀️

Good morning, my dear friends at Hive and this wonderful community that feels like home to me. I sincerely hope you are all well. Today I want to share with you how I use certain things to save money and feel more comfortable.

About a month ago, we bought several energy drinks because my dad was sick. He was taking a lot of antibiotics, and since they made him very weak, we had to compensate with nutritious meals and energy drinks. After my dad drank his drink, I would save the washed containers. Every time I go out, I fill them with cold water, put them in a mini woven case, and carry them with me because the case is like a purse.

I used to fill plastic containers completely with water so that they would freeze, and when I had to go out, I would take them with me, but I realized that it takes a long time to thaw and I get very thirsty, especially lately because it's been so hot.

So I would get frustrated because I had a piece of ice and had to wait to be able to drink water. For this reason, I no longer let it freeze completely. Sometimes I fill it halfway so that only that part freezes, and when I'm about to leave, I add water to the remaining space. That way, it stays cold longer. However, I usually just put it in the freezer to cool because, as I mentioned, I get very thirsty.

These containers have been very useful and convenient for me. There are currently some very attractive thermoses that people often use as canteens, but besides being expensive, they are very delicate and can be damaged if dropped. I don't really know what material they are made of, but I do know that they would get damaged very quickly because I am somewhat clumsy, a little distracted, and I drop things, so these plastic containers are ideal for me.

The advantage is that I always have water with me and I don't have to spend money buying more water. In addition to this, I stay hydrated and I recycle. It's not the latest model in water thermoses, but it serves the same purpose, and that's what matters most ☺️. I usually use it for a couple of months and then give it to my brother-in-law, who is an expert at turning them into small plant pots.

My brother-in-law grew up in the countryside and loves to garden, but since he moved to the city, he doesn't have the space to do so. So, he creates his own plant pots and has already managed to harvest a small amount, but every little helps. I'm going to try to follow his great example. I always say this, but the truth is that I find it difficult. I need to take it seriously in order to do it.

There will always be something to recycle; it's just a matter of becoming aware of it and working a little harder on our creativity. If we do it consistently, we not only help ourselves but also our planet.

It will always be a pleasure to share in this wonderful community. We love you all so much 😉

I love the case you use for your water bottle. It’s a good and stylish way to waste less.

Now that I have seen your case, I’m thinking of creating something like that in the future for my water containers too. But guess what? I don’t even know how to crochet well, lol.

I'm so glad you like my water bottle cover 😉 It really gives it a special touch because it's both pretty and practical. Try making one by hand. It doesn't matter if you don't know how to sew, you'll learn little by little. It's all about starting with something, even if it's small. Go for it 🥳🥳🥳

Thank you for the encouragement. It might take time but I’ll try out. 🤭

It's great to see that getting water in containers and getting them iced or cold in the freezer isn't practiced here alone.

I kind of like how the containers were later used for plants and I will be trying that out and suggesting it to my Dad.
Thanks for sharing
