Hi,
for today's #rockclassics, by my friend, @uwelang, will go to a super band from the 70's-80's. Of course, it is a rock band, as I love rock. It is about Journey, and I call it a super band as it was formed by former Santana, the Steve Miller Band, and Frumious Bandersnatch members.
We did arrange some photo albums today, and we found some older pictures, from our beginning when we started dating. At that time, there was a Rock Museum in Olympia tower in Munich. It was free to visit, but you had to buy only the ticket for the elevator. In the museum, there were two jukeboxes, and one had some Journey songs that we played. We usually went at night, when the city lights were on, and nobody was with us, so we turned the whole floor into a rock club. One of the songs that my wife loves is Don't Stop Believin'.
It is the top selling song from the 20th century on iTunes, just as a fact.
Mine was Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), as it was so powerful. It was also used in Tron:Legacy, and I love the Tron series. It does not appear on the OST, which was made by Daft Punk. For the newer generation, this song appeared in Stranger Things.
Journey has some gorgeous ballads, as every hard rock band that respects itself.
Do you know Journey? What is your favourite song from them?
