Saturday Morning Out

It's once again another beautiful Saturday morning to get fit and exercise the body. Yeah right! it's that time of the week to get our legs to do the talking on the field of play. If you're familiar with my posts you sure know Saturday mornings are for football with the guys. Sincerely this is a moment I always look forward to as it always gives me joy and satisfaction in an unexplainable manner. I wasn't able to give an account of my outing last week due to unforseen circumstances but today won't be so.

As I'm typing this the rain is currently drizzling but I'm quite certain it won't deter the boys from coming out to play the round leather game . I mean we've waited all week for this moment so there's definitely nothing stopping a large turn out of guys this cold morning.

I usually hit the pitch which is a 5-10 minutes drive from my house after completing my physical fitness routine exercises. I do sit-ups, push-ups , lifting of my dumb-bells and recently I Just added skipping to the fold. Once I get to the field I usually jog around it for about 5 minutes to get my body activated and ready for the incoming intense football actions .

We usually play a 5-aside set game play with 10 minutes interval. Once your team loses a set , your team bows out letting another team play the winner. If your team wins a set you automatically qualify to play another team. Teams are usually selected at random using a ballot system which is always free and fair as everyone gets a team to play for.

Today I hope to be selected in a good team with serious minded and dedicated players . I also hope I can get my name on the scoresheet it will no doubt be an icing on the cake . All in all I hope it will be an interesting outing with the guys today as we try to stretch our legs and stay active . How about you friend? how are you trying to stay active this Saturday morning??
