I have split Fir often, I think what was different about this particular tree, is that we are in summer and the sap is up the tree!!
It's extremely spongy, extremely wet, almost dripping!π³
Ah, yes, that would certainly make a difference. Knotty and dripping with sap probably isn't the best combo! πππβ¨π€
I managed to bring home another Cord of firewood to add to our ever-growing stack of firewood Lol!!π
I am up to 25 Cords of firewood now!!!π€ππ
