I think the world is opening up again, to me the impact of the US on the world stage is getting less and less. China and Russia really are pushing the new world order what with Iran and North Korea helping them.
Glad you voted and it is something I always do.

The Replacements, which is weird to me given the fact that they could be considered one of the main influencers of alternative rock

I have never heard of The Replacements which then makes me wonder if I know anything of what is considered Aletrantive Rock!

        Alternative rock is just pretty much anything that doesn't fall into the other categories. It's quite broad. I think you are right about the world opening up. I think there are bigger threats out there, but people tend to focus solely on us. I'm not saying we are flawless or without blame, I'm just saying there is plenty of both to go around.
