RE: Fiddl.art: Create, Share, and Sell Your AI Art

in Discovery-it2 days ago

I'm a little dubious about 'AI' art. I see a lot posted on InLeo, but I'm not voting it up generally. I would rather support creative people who actually make art themselves. There's a lot of hype around this topic and it is hard to know where it is going. The technology will just improve. People are looking for ways to exploit it anyway.

NFTs were a big thing for a while, but I hear less about them now. I have bought some, but not paid a lot.

I think there are definitely some nefarious uses for AI art and it is only going to get worse. That concerns me for sure. The whole deep fake scene is just creepy. I think if you use an AI generated image for your post then that is one thing, but writing a whole post with AI stuff is another, though some users create some pretty amazing things, so those are fun to look at.

People need to be honest about it, but detection may get harder. I saw a post recently where they just used such crazy sentences that did not look human. I assume they used some tool for that.

Oh yeah, that isn't cool. In the past when I have used AI images I have been very up front about what they were and where they came from.
