RE: Wrong Gear, Wrong time

I can't imagine what these images would be like if you had taken with you the equipment you consider appropriate that day. They are incredible! The dark tone brings drama to the scenes, for my taste they are perfect. Those statues are impressive and I appreciated knowing what they represent, they certainly transmit that demonic power with their expressions. What material are they made of to weigh so much? They remind me of the images that next week they will procession through the streets of my city celebrating Christian Holy Week. It's funny how different cultures around the world share similar traditions. I really enjoyed meeting this one, thank you for sharing it.

But despite that, I am so happy that you like the result, maybe next year I could get a better photos.
The main frame, I believe made of some iron rebar for strength and then some organic material made from bamboo to make the shape of the statue, and then the base is made of wood, and then quite a lot of bamboo so all the youngsters can lift the statue.

Yes, it is similar and it is very interesting indeed, maybe it is just the way we worship the Devine power, different route leading to one spot. :)
thank you very much for the pick my friend. I appreciate it very much

It's okay to try to do what others do to whom you admire their work, but here you have me to admire what you do. ☺️ With that photo you make a little cheating, hahaha, a photo of the day with one of the night and very different figures.

Wood weighs a lot, just like metal. They are similar in the material sense as well.
