Speaking of fireworks—I was pleasantly surprised to see that Columbus' Red White and Boom celebration used drones this year!
I was disappointed that all of the pro-crypto provisions were stripped out of the budget bill prior to it passing. It really goes to show you how much control the large stakeholders are exerting now. I was really hoping, at least, the capital gains tax-break would have passed.
That is cool. I know that my in laws always enjoy this time of year around their little slice of Columbus. Half of them were in Indy for a softball tournament on the 4th. That sucks about the pro-crypto stuff. I didn't realize that, but it seems about par for the course!
They had a huge crowd for the fireworks/drone show from what I've heard. It always took hours to get out of downtown after Red, White, and Boom in the 1980s. Yeah, it was a pretty big disappointment that they did the old bait and switch again. Even the strategic BTC reserve was taken off the table.
We have a big festival near where I live for the fireworks, but nothing compared to what the traffic would be like in Columbus.
