Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.
As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.
Today I'm returning to Japanese Jazz. But rather than introduce anyone new today, I'm going to give a sampling of many of the people I've already covered. This is mainly for @stickupboys. A few weeks ago he asked me for some Japanese jazz recommendations. Rather than just referring him to all my posts, I said I'd make a playlist. And so I have. I remember @bozz also asked me to tag him about the playlist. Someone else also did, but sorry, I don't remember who. I hope they see this post!
I picked a handful of artists, leaning towards more modern artists, and a few songs each. I'll paste the Spotify playlist at the end so you can all go follow it, but I'll pick out three favorites from the list in the spirit of #threetunetuesday. ...which isn't easy because I like all the songs I put in this list!
TRI4TH - Freeway
Let's start with this high energy piece. If this doesn't get you in the mood, nothing will.
United Future Organization - United Future Airlines
This is a fun piece. A little less energetic than the previous, but still a great ride.
Jiro Inagaki & Soul Media - Painted Paradise
Add in some funk for this one. This is a great ride!
Bonus: The Playlist
There are so many more I could add, but I'm trying to limit things as to not overwhelm. When I was a kid and used to make mixtapes, the rule was no more than 10-12 songs. Well, I've gone over that by 2 here, but I kept it close!
So what's your favorite?
