RE: Pac-Man, Prayer, and Ringo

in Discovery-it7 months ago (edited)

George's lyrics weren't as complex as Paul & John, so I think that's part of why he gets overlooked. George is my favorite Beatle. Simple lyrics, but very heartfelt, and great catchy melodies and themes.

Paul was a machine, eh? Still is. Ringo freely has talked about how none of them ever wanted to do anything, that it was Paul who was the workaholic and pushed them to work on songs and get albums ready. I think if the Beatles had never happened, George and John would have given up music and joined regular jobs like their folks. Ringo was already known as one of the best drummers around so he might have stuck in the business, though never been as famous as he became with the Beatles. It's only Paul who would have been a music star even without Beatles.

Edit: I think their breaking up was one of the best things that could have happened to them. They never had the chance to self-destruct in real time like the Beach Boys did. As is, they went out on top and that means they will forever carry the myth of greatest band ever.
