Greetings and salutations Hivers. Today let's go into another Three Tune Tuesday post.

As always, thanks to @ablaze for making this series. Lots of people participate in it! Follow the tags to find a ton of good music recommendation.

Bling-Bang-Bang-Born is a Japanese hip-hop song by Creepy Nuts, a duo consisting of DJ Matsunaga and R-Shitei. It was released as a single on Jan 7th 2024, made for the second season opening of the anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles. Soon afterwards it completely exploded in popularity not only in Japan but internationally as well, as the result of some Internet challenge on social media. As a result it peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and stayed there for 19 weeks and also hit #8 on the Billboard Global 200.

Due to all that, you may have heard it in passing. It is everywhere. It was performed become a Dodgers game last year. It even shows up as a song for the kids to dance to at preschools. They even used it in my buddy's calisthenics class. It was quickly added to Taiko no Tatsujin, that drumming game for all that everyone loves, where even more young kids were exposed to it. That is how I became aware of it. My youngest son (age 8) loves playing Taiko no tatsujin and was immediately attracted to the song in game, starting to sing it everywhere, and asked me to find a copy and put it on his iPod.

Here it is in all it's glory.

English Version

Here is the song again but with English subtitles so you can get a feeling for what is being sung.

Trump Version

Yes, as last time, probably the best thing we will get from the second Trump presidency are the memes and jokes at his expense. Probably we won't have Alec Baldwin doing such a perfect impression that it actually fools some people this time around. He has a bit of a bigger problem to deal with right now. But we will still get things like this!

Classical Version

Here are some guesses about how it may have sounded being played by variously classical composers.

Cartoon Version

Here is a pretty talented woman doing impressions of various cartoon characters (mostly but not entirely Japanese characters) while playing it.

Dancing Version

And finally here is a group on a talent show dancing to the song. They much have been so tired after this.

So what's your favorite?

I'll have to try to track this down tomorrow. It says all of the videos are unavailable for me. I am really curious to see if I know it!

Ah bummer, I hope they aren't Japan only. I'll have to start putting direct links below each video.

I haven't gotten to it yet, but I plan on puttering around YouTube on my own and checking Spotify.
