Along with the fact that I got to visit one of my favorite sandwich shops the other day, I think it is safe to say that it has been a good week. I'm not going to spend too much time on the BTC price in this post. I think we can all agree that it has been exciting to see it top over $72K again, but ATH or no ATH, until altcoin season starts, I think most of us are a bit indifferent.
There is a good chance I will never be a full coiner when it comes to BTC, so I just need to focus on my alts and my traditional investments to get me through. I'm okay with that to be quite honest. Contentment is something that a lot of people struggle with these days. I may never be rich, but I am definitely happy and I have all the love I could ever hope for in my life.
That's pretty good if you ask me!
It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the community.
So yeah, we have a regional chain across a handful of states called Mancino's. They specialize in pizzas and grinder sandwiches. That opening photo is the 9" Sicilian on wheat bread. It comes with ham, salami, cheese, mayo, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. Maybe a few other things. They toast it off in the pizza oven and it is so amazingly good. You really have no idea!
New Silver!
I've been talking about it for a while now, but I finally made it over to my local bullion store Kzoo Bullion. I noticed some users have had some issues with the self minted stuff from KZoo, but they also carry stuff from most of the major mints. That's what I stuck with on this trip.
I've been wanting a Canadian Maple Leaf for a while now and I finally picked one up. They were charging me about $2.50 above spot which at the time made this piece something like $37. It looks like the price has come down a bit now, but oh well. I really like how this one has the smaller maple leaf below the main one.
On the other side of course we have good old King Charles the third. My wife was asking me why he was on a Canadian round. I started to explain the whole commonwealth thing, but with glazed eyes she just said nevermind.
Anyway, I think this is a pretty cool piece and I am really excited about adding it to my collection. As well as the other pieces I will be sharing here. I ended up with about three pieces personally as well as two to give to my nephew/godson at Christmas.
More CHEX!
I know I've been beating this like a dead horse, but one of the tokens I am really bullish on for the next cycle is CHEX by Chintai. I know enough not to put a lot of faith in people who shill tokens, but to be fair, I owned my stack before Miles Deutscher felt the need to post on X about it. In fact, I don't even know who Miles is, but it feels good to know that someone with a blue check by their name believes in a token like I do.
If you want to view his full reasoning and analysis, you can find the full Tweet here.
Since I bought most of my CHEX at $.03 and $.07 anything over $1 would honestly be awesome for me. I have a feeling though that one of the big pushes this cycle is going to be tokenization of Real World Assets (RWA's). Chintai seems to have placed themselves in a position over the past seven years to be ready to hit the ground running with RWA's.
While I don't believe the $100 per token forecast I have seen some people post about, even $10 to $20 per token would be life changing for me, and if it only ever gets to $2, I'm fine with that too.
Nukes are Heating Up
I'm continuing to keep an eye on my NuScale stock (ticker symbol SMR). There has been a huge resurgence of interest in the nuclear power sector right now given the presumed demand to run artificial intelligence engines across a number of companies.
I was talking to my brother in law who is an accountant the other day, and he said that pretty much any nuclear company is potential gold right now. He was really happy that he had listened to me when I first mentioned SMR to him. My other brother in law who I am sure bought some at the same time couldn't even remember, but when he gets around to looking, he will likely be happy too.
We have already 2x our money invested in the stock and I think that things are just starting to get exciting. All it takes is a few big contracts and we could be sitting in the stratosphere.
If they can find a way to ensure it is safe, I really feel that nuclear energy has a lot of potential for driving the economy of the future.
Of course do your own research, since I am the last one to be giving financial advice!
