Going Round In Circles

I'm not shocked, but I am a little bit surprised that here we are a week later and BTC is sitting at just about the same place it was last week. Well around the same area. I'm actually writing this post a little early because I know I will be busy with family over the Thanksgiving holiday, but the current $96,000 may as well be the same thing as $99,000 right?

I think we can all agree that the training wheels don't come off until we finally break $100,000 right? I really thought hoped we would be there by now. It will come in time. I know this for certain. I just hope it happens sooner rather than later. The fact that we spent all last cycle expecting it makes it even more significant this time around.

It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the community.

As the year starts to wind down, I find myself thinking about 2025 and all the possibilities and responsibilities that it has for me. No lie, I was up at 2:30 AM the other morning thinking about what my gameplan would be if one of the tokens I am currently holding happened to hit $50 to $100 per token. Hope can keep you going, but it can also be a burden at times.

Will the first week of December bring us back around to the same spot or will we finally break through that $100K mark?

Back to those responsibilities...

@mrsbozz and I have been talking for a while now about getting some kind of trust set up in case something were to happen to one or both of us. I think 2025 needs to be the year that we finally get that taken care of.

I also think that 2025 needs to be the year I either consolidate or fully inventory all of my crypto holdings so that I can have a more accurate picture of what we hold and where we hold it. I also need to establish some kind of gameplan for accessing those funds in case something were to ever happen to me. The thought of that going to waste simply because I didn't properly educate or inform my wife kills me.

Big Moves on HIVE

If you have been keeping an eye on the HIVE price lately, it has been doing some interesting things. It seems the Koreans are having a bit of fun again and doing some funky things with the price as they have in the past. I try not to let these swings bug me too much. I just keep plugging away with my accounts.

I recently bought some more of the RUG token on HIVE-Engine to put myself at 2000 tokens. This has been a great investment and is giving something like a 70% return right now mostly in thanks to the swapping that is happening off platform.

I've also made a decision to start actively growing my @bozz.sports account by powering up on the first of each month. Hopefully be fore long I will reach 5000 HP staked on that account. I recently topped 85,000 HP staked on my main account and I have 100K HP firmly in my sights.

Black Friday

If you live in the US, you probably already know that today is called Black Friday. Many people go out shopping and spend money they don't have on things they don't need simply because they are on sale. I've seen some memes lately where they point out that products on Black Friday are usually the same price as always, they just make the discount look bigger so that you think you are getting a big deal.

I used to get caught up in all of the deals that the hardware and big box stores were having, but I eventually realized, I wasn't buying stuff because I needed it, I was buying it because I thought I was getting a good deal on it, and that is dangerous.

If I do spend some money today, it will likely be at the record store where I plan on taking my niece in a little bit. I might also keep an eye on some of the major disc golf makers to see if they are offering any specials for this major shopping weekend.

Worst case, I wait until Cyber Monday and see if they have any deals then!

Traditional Markets

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention all the things that are happening with the traditional markets. We have been seeing some interesting movement since the election results came in. I'm curious to see how those movements are going to translate into my year end distributions. Like unwrapping a present at Christmas, it is always a bit exciting to log into my account to see how much money has been deposited back in via dividends and capital gains.

If you celebrate I hope you had a blessed holiday weekend. If you don't, I still hope you have an amazing time.

We have Black Friday in Japan too. I wouldn't be surprised if it's making inroads in other countries too. Department stores love any excuse they can get to sucker people into spending money, after all.

I wonder if we keep bouncing around from 90 to 99k until Xmas. I think after we pop over 100k, we see a big pull back. I kind of think that after Trump takes power and everyone sees how insane his admin will actually be, this market euphoria wears off and we have a much larger pull back. Time will tell, I guess. It'll be a fun ride anyway!

That's a hard one to call. I can see $100K being a catalyst, but I can also see there being a huge pullback as well.

Happy Thanksgiving! It does seem that we have been at 99k for like forever! I hope we can finally crack the 100k and head higher!! LOL Hive has been the comeback kid and it will be great for it to retake the $0,30 handle and work up from there.

I'll definitely be interested to see where HIVE goes from here. I hope we can hit $100K before December or early on in that month.

We have had black Friday here for a few years now. There are so many Amazon ads on TV right now. I don't intend to buy much, but the running shoes I wanted were discounted and I needed a pair.

One of the talks at the conference last weekend was about digital legacy and part of that is ensuring others can access your funds if necessary. With crypto that needs instructions and a way to securely hand on the keys. I've had some thoughts on that I will write about soon.

That's cool about the shoes, also about the talk you attended. I think it is so important. When you think about the amount of BTC that has just been lost it is quite sad. I don't want that to happen to my wife.

Happy Thanksgiving Bozz! I think getting an inventory together is a great idea I know I have coins all over the place too. I don't think we plan to spend much as we find the consumerism is getting out of control for deals that are not even that good...

Yes, I totally agree with you. We will likely spend on our nieces and nephews, but nothing out of the normal. I don't think I am going to do any Black Friday for myself besides records today.

We decided to head out for lunch so we might go to a store or two, but I don't think we will be buying anything

I just bought a couple of records and that was it.

I hope you guys had a nice Thanksgiving! The $100 K continues to elude us but I think we all are enjoying the Hive push, may it be long lasting!

The trust is a very good idea, having everything taken care of in case something does happen unexpectedly. You never know when that meteor may land on your head! lol I think we all hate to do it because it's accepting just how mortal and temporary we are on this planet.

I hope the end of the year returns are good for us all on the regular markets as well. It's nice to see that nest egg getting larger, and some day retirement might be nice! Have a great weekend!

Yes on all of the above. I totally agree with you. I think we have been putting it off for the very reason you suggested!

Black friday is always a period where I get things out from the original amount. Well let's just hope before the xmas bitcoin climbs through, but i doubt that though cause alot of folks would want to trade so as to celebrate dirty december

I guess we will just have to wait and see!

Yahh I guess so

Thanks for sharing with us :)

I’ve been sooo tempted by a number of BF deals but then decided against it. I prefer to buy a thing when I am ready for it not just because the deal looks good. As you say many are just being reduced to their manufacturing cost, the markup is being dropped for awhile, it’s all a massive con!!

Yeah, I totally agree with you. There is tons of stuff I could have easily bought, but I decided to just kind of hold off. I bought some new shirts because I got a discount, but I don't know as though I couldn't have gotten them just as cheap any other time of year. I bought them because I needed them.

I am very tempted by one other that’s been extended a few more days by I know there are a load of important things we need to set money aside for.

Ain't that the way it always goes?!

I hope you had a great turkey day! This market cycle is so different than past ones but the price can't be suppressed forever. It wouldn't surprise me if we see BTC blow past $100k by the end of the year. It wouldn't surprise me if the bull market lasts through most of 2025. If this happens it's anyone's guess how high it will go. I'm glad your traditional investments have been doing well. It's like we're living in this weird alternate timeline where trad investments outperform crypto (but I know this is just temporary). 2025 is looking pretty bright as far as finances go!

It was great thanks! I hope yours was as well. I just keep doing what I have been with the markets. If I get some big crypto wins they are funneling into traditional investments anyway probably.
