The past few weeks have been quite insightful to say the least. Sometimes, it's a good bet to just pull a chair, think of something positive, sit back and watch it manifest. For a long time, I've known that our thoughts are very powerful and we could create our world through our thoughts but I never really paid heed to it. I just knew it and also believed it. For a change, I decided to pay conscious heed to it and I proved what I already knew, ‘thoughts are powerful’.
We are like magnets—Like attracts like
In a few instances, I thought of things consciously and a few of them came to pass. Some took days while others took seconds. I realised that it's easier to fill our minds with negative thoughts and doubts. “What if I'm not there on time?” “ What if I'm not good enough?” A simple trick I use when ‘what if ‘ questions fill my mind is to respond positively. “What if I'm late for the lecture?” response; “ The lecturer wouldn't begin till I arrive”. “What if I'm not good enough for the job?” response; “then I would make them revisit their terms for ‘good enough people’. It doesn't always go as planned but there is an amount of confidence that one emanates when they have their thoughts under control.
The darkest moments come before dawn and one can't help but wonder why it is so? Why do we have dark moments in the first place? A simple answer would be; to learn. Life is beautiful. Living and basking in this beauty can be wonderful but what lessons do you learn in the process? I do not know about you but when things are going all smooth and rosy, I hardly pick out vital lessons. My thoughts always lie with the fact that It's all rainbows and sunshine and I wouldn't want to dent the perfect happiness with any lesson. I mean, what could one possibly learn from happiness?
Then the dark moments come and so do a series of life lessons. A typical response to such situations is to complain. We complain with all our might and still do not make any single move towards alleviating the issue. Some people gain certain experiences first hand while others learn from other peoples experiences. One quote I love very much is “ Life would teach you better if you let go and let God.” Once we learn to let go, things begin to turn out how they are supposed to and harmony is reignited.

Feeling Good by Michael Buble is an amazing ‘feel good music’ for times when we reach our breaking points and decide that it would be best to let go. I heard this piece a few years back in a movie. I liked it and opted to check it out. It turned out to be a classic and so are some other pieces by Buble.
This traditional pop jazz talks about the feeling of renewal and extreme positivity. That point where you are certain that nothing can go wrong and if something eventually goes haywire, you are ready to face the consequences still with a positive approach.
I do not know if it is the jazz or the lyrics that has the effect on me but I do know that listening to this piece with headphones on is just magical, especially at its climax. The song is filled with a sense of reassurance. Personally, I derive motivation just by listening to the song and maybe you can too.
