Hello fans of wrestling, I am really excited to tell you some interesting SmackDown rumors that have been going around in the WWE universe. If you are as much as a fan as me then you will eat up these updates on some of our favorite stars.
Let us begin by talking about Cody Rhodes; wow what a journey he has had. His victory over The Fiend for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40 is something none of us will ever forget.
But what happened after that? He seemed to drop off the face of the Earth. Yes he is going against AJ Styles at Backlash but what comes next? There is no big plan for him apparently except maybe a feud with The Rock or Roman Reigns.
You know what, I’m dying to see Cody face Randy Orton. I mean they have so much history together, it would be one hell of a match.
Apparently, according to the Wrestling Observer, there isn’t a big plan for that bout at the moment. Randy’s currently teaming up with Kevin Owens to take on The Tribal Heir and Tama Tonga at Backlash. Could still happen though.
So, can we discuss the potential of The Rock winning the WWE Championship? How crazy does that sound?! There is a rumor going around that he was supposed to beat Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.
I mean, let’s say you’ve got The Brahma Bull back in the ring and he’s staring down The Tribal Chief. It would have been epic. However, instead of things following their intended course and this happening; The Rock turned heel and aligned himself with The Bloodline. But still, people cannot stop talking about how he pinned Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. Is it possible that there could be a match between them at some point down the road? I really hope so.
Finally, I would like to discuss Brad Blum’s resignation from WWE. Honestly, this one surprised me a lot. You know, he has been working here since 2006. He is the person who has contributed so much into WWE for such a long time that it becomes difficult to think about the company without him.
However, what was reported is that he handed in his resignation on May 1st of 2024. And you won’t believe this; no one knows why! This has left everyone speculating about what could be happening backstage at WWE. Well, maybe we will find out with time.

That would be the ultimate comeback! As for Brad Blum, I suppose we will find out. However, one thing is certain; SmackDown is on fire and I’m excited to see what happens next.
